It has been nearly 4 months since i've arrived here in chch. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning ,and I still can't quite believe that i'm in new zealand. Its quite a wonder that one's life can change so dramatically in a short period of time. It was just a few months back when i was still mugging for the o's and dreaming of being here. And now here I am sharing a classroom with people of different accents, cultures and races.Unbelievable? If I dare say so myself.

Well anyway autumn is here and the weather is changing. The locals have been joking with us, telling us that you can even experience all the 4 seasons in a day here.Which I totally agree.
Last monday was teachers only day which meant that there wasn't school on that day.Yeeeeaaah!(lil'jon style)and so i took that opportunity and decided to go out with Esther to explore the city centre. It was hella fun and I soo felt like a tourist.

We ate at Mr Ijiwa's restaurant called osaka to eat some authentic Japanese food. That man is one of a kind i tell u ,if you are lucky, he might play a song on the piano for you while you eat.
After eating at osaka, we wandered along gloucester st. and we pranced upon a 2nd hand shop that sold vintage and used stuff. There were tons of vintage stuff and Esther bought a few scarves from there. Here's a picture to show how congested the shop was.

From there, we continued our "journey" and we went to victoria square (place where they held the chinese lantern festival) . Being the cam whores that we are, we took loads of pictures there as well.punting by the avon..sweet asjames cook the "founder" of nz
We then headed down to cathedral square where the the famous cathedral stands. There were lots of people going on about with their own activities like playing with the large chess pieces, feeding the gulls and the tourist buzzing about. There were so many picture perfect moments in cathedral square and the little school boy with the red balloon piece is my prized shot.
am i awesome or what? hah.another famous sculpturela cathedralhe was posing for us lol.
Moving right along, the next thing we did was to watch the movie miss potter at the regent theater. Awesome show i have to say. kudos to renee zellweger .The pricing of the movie tickets are sort of similar to Singapore's .It was 10 dollars for adults but we managed to fool the cashier and entered as 15 year olds for 7 dollars.
After the movie, we went back to cathedral square to have a drink at starbucks. I settled for a nice hot cup of hot chocolate and Esther had a latte.a nice view of the cathedral from where we sathaha
Having seen the alley ways and grafity sprayed walls before, i knew that it was a great location for a photoshoot. And since i had a cam whoring friend like esther this time around, i thought it would be great if we could snap a few pictures together. love it!
Alright, here's the funny bit about our little journey.Being two blur girls(like the blind leading the blind), something was bound to happend to us. We decided to head back home at 5 and so we went to the bus exchange to take bus19 back to burnside. We took bus 19 alright but the problem was that we hopped onto the one that headed to spreydon and not burnside which meant that we were heading to the other side of chch. The ride back was long and annoying and we took 2 and a half hours back home. Not to mention that I had to hold my bladder throughout the ride. Along the way we chatted with the bus driver, took pictures once again since we were the only ones on the bus. Staying on a bus for 2 and a half hours with a full bladder has its effects and heres a collage to show you the different stages of our journey.
Damn was that a long post entry or what?
I'll post another entry soon on what i did today. Its good friday by the way and also the start of the school hols'.
cheers.
