GUTEN TAG!

I was really itching to bake something on Friday, something to do with bread. The typical loaf of bread bored me and so I decided to try something that I've not attempted before. After scowering the net, in search of inspiration, pretzels popped in my mind and I decided there and then to try to make them.Random I know. But it gives me great satisfaction in trying to bake something pretty adventurous like this and being successful in trying. Well anyway to cut the long story short, the pretzels turned out fantastic and they were all devoured within the next day.I guess all that time spent looking at the ladies making pretzels at Auntie Anne's actually paid off.
Pretzels are a German specialty and so it pleases me to know that somewhere out there in Bavaria, my good friend Morija would be proud to know that I am still keeping the German spirit alive after all that time since she left.Ha ha.
The dough stage of the process before it was boiled and baked.

To top it off, a good coating of sugar and cinnamon. Simply delish!

Alfresco

So, Esther and I went out to the city centre for some retail and cafe therapy. Its been a long time since we both went out checking out cafes and shopping! The weather was pretty tame considering we're in the middle of autumn and so I took the opportunity to wear a dress and to be doubly sure, I brought along my trusty puffy jacket in case the weather turns to custard.
Shopping was rather successful I would say. I bought 2 awesome hoodies( one thick grey one from glassons and a volcom one from cheapskates) and a pair geometric tights! Spent nearly 200 on just that. Yikes! But hey I need to prep for winter.

We went to my favorite place to chill , coffee house.I tried the chilly chai
latté with ice cream and esther had an iced mocha and walnut slice. We sat alfresco because the weather was so good yesterday.

Last day of term 1
Last day of term 1! What a great term it has been I must say. And the picture above is just one example of me being late for school, as per usual. If you squint hard enough, you can see a little school girl in the picture .Yeah both of us we late for school. So anyway, since it was the last day of term and I have a study period after lunch , that makes it 2 hours worth of messing around, my study-bio-form period-stats mate Lizzie and I decided to head down to La porchetta for lunch. And thats La por-katta for you. Mind my Italian, trust me, you don't want to offend the Italians or people who actually know how to pronounce it. Yeah thats right, Alexander and Nick. Haha

the autumn wear and tear.

Friday. The end of the week. Can't wait for the R&R that awaits me. School has been pretty alright, the usual stuff. Just completed an English speech, almost there with my biology experiments and a media studies director study assignment is underway.I have to study for 2 tests next week. as well. just too bad I can't attend the uni dance party this Sunday because I have school the next day. Oh well. I'm going to succumb to my cravings for Bailey's flavored pikelets right now. nick and his skate board
