Sentosa

Sometime during the second week of my stay, I stayed over in Ruth's place for about 5 days and during that 5 days, we went to Sentosa! But it was a rather disappointing trip I have to say.December is the monsoon season in Singapore and the rain has been pouring down almost everyday. Ruth and I were hoping that it wouldn't rain in sentosa and it actually did! We only spent a short period of time on the beach under the drizzle of rain before we decided to leave sentosa . What a waste ! But at least we took some pictures ;) A touch of glow and hey presto we've got sun!

More pictures cmg up ya'll..I just got back from my 2nd vacation down to queenstown in NZ.Its been pretty crazy unpacking my bags from singapore and packing them up again for this roadtrip. So I do apologise for the lack of posts this few days.

Holla Biatches! My bff ruth! She's totally one of the few reasons why I'm excited to come back to Singapore. I met up with her just the other day to have lunch and to watch the movie, The Golden Compass. And not forgetting shopping as well! ;) Ruth is defo the best shopping buddy ever!

Camwhoring!Raffles place!! The typical touristy kind of pose..point and smile.lolWe ate at this awesome dumpling restaurant called Din Tai Fung. And it was rated as the top 10 best restaurants in the world by the New york times. Their dumplings and noodles are all freshly made on the spot thats why their dumplings always taste so succulent and delicious.
Mhmm beef noodles..

Xiao long Bao literally translated to little dragon dumplings!

Just look at the xiao long bao! sooo succulent!Behind the scenes

Foolin' around in the cinema
Miss pretty long legs
haha
I was trying to do the jump..lolZARA!

The clothes at zara are soo nice! Ruth and I tried on a few outfits. The coats were so chic and they fitted me so well! I'm gonna go back and buy lots of winter clothes! We camwhored alot in the dressing rooms. Haha.

I didn't wear pants that day so...forgive me if you think this picture is hella slutty. lols I love that hot blouse and the wool coat! Arghhh SOOO chic and totally Gossip girl.
oxfords !

Shisha baby!
Ruth and her bf Daniel, brought me to Haji lane(arab street) to chill the next day. The place is so quaint and it has a old charm to it mainly because of the old shop houses and the narrow alley ways. Arab street is an area where the arabs and middle easterners settled in when they arrived in Singapore way back in the day. Its is still used by the arabs and malay people today. The whole place is filled with small middle eastern food eateries and shops selling perfumes and cloths. We went to this eygptian restaurant called Altazza's to chill and drink mint tea. We also tried the traditional Shisha that are used all over the middle east. It was such an experience I have to say. The smell of kebabs were so strong in the little alley way that we were in and it made our mouths water. I'll definitely go back again to try the kebabs!

BFFS!

If its one thing I love, its heaps of sugar in my tea!
I just don't understand how people can drink their teas without sugar.

Steamboat!! We had steamboat for dinner. Steam boat is a chinese meal where we dunk raw food items into this simmering pot of broth at the table and its similar to the swiss fondue. But the steamboat we had this time had cooked fried fish in it with yam and vegetables. The soup was so incredibly tasty and yummy! You've got to try it! The steamboat place is along serangoon road and is next to the bridal shop.

FRIED PRAWN PASTE CHICKEN NIBBLETS!HAVENLY!

And if you were already sick and tired of me talking about food, guess what? Here's more lip-smackingly good delicious Singaporean food. My family went to Crystal jade restaurant for lunch and we had an array of mouth-watering chinese dishes. We had the herbal chicken( the one in the claypot), spicy ma po tofu, beef sauteed with white button mushrooms, fried carrot cake and lastly the rice vermicelli with scallops. But I would have to say that the herbal chicken was the best! The meat was so succulent and it literally melts in your mouth! I want some now!

This is the real deal people! This is authentic chinese food and not what you get from your local take away.

I'll be back to tingle with your taste buds the next time!
