mhmm..Carrot cake

This my take on the traditional carrot cake...muffin style! I topped the cake with a cream cheese and orange rind icing. Simply delicious.

Its good friday and we started our easter hols' by watching Ps. i love you! It was already released for quite some time and so ESSY, TILLY and I went to catch it. It was a great movie although the book version was better. I always love it when my favorite novel gets turned into a film. WICKED!

The streets of New Zealand are like officially closed (meaning shops and all) because its a national holiday- pretty big deal if you get what i mean. But Hoyts cinemas was surprisingly open. The usually busy shopping mall was shut and we mucked around with the trolleys at pak n save. Funny as!

My Belated 18th @ the mexican cafe
& honey pot on St.Patricks day

It was certainly a night that I for one would remember. I celebrated my belated 18th (3 months since my actual bday) on St. Patrick's day @ the Mexican cafe. The food and the atmosphere the cafe had was so memorable, I had to have my 18th there. Green was the theme of the night and so most of my guests dressed up in their green frocks. Soft shell lamb taco's was awesome and the nacho's were fantastic. I have to say that the Mexican cafe certainly has the best Mexican food ever-well in chch anyway.

I had an upgrade this time, from the usual "virgin" magarita's (ala fruit slushies) to a real magarita! HO to the LLA baby! 16 people turned up, could've invited much more if i was having a huge party but 16 was good. It was great to see old and new friends. I couldn't ask for more. I wasn't asking for gifts or anything but just the company from all my pals, and i was so happy most of them turned up. I just wanna give a HUGE HOLLA! I received a cute top,a ring and neckless from the gals and a Baileys (and a baby caramel one) from vinc and dion.And not forgetting esther's faboo dress that was given to me a while back!

From there, after our delicious meal, we headed to the honey pot cafe for desert. Mhmm, white chocolate and pistachio cake. Looi declined to do a re-enactment of his "guilty-guilty" dance and so that was a bummer.

Some of us from the senior division decided to dress up for st.patricks day. Some of us dressed up in a smackle of green while others took this opportunity to declare their love for the colour green for all to see. From irish school boys to shamlock lovin' pixies, it was definitely a pretty fun day for the people who bothered to dress up. Bio class buddies. Alexander .
