Sunday market at Ricarrton rotary
Last Sunday morning, my parents and I decided to head to Ricarrton rotary Sunday market. The market was vibrant and packed full of aromas. A great way to start the day. There were many stands in the market from people selling expresso's out of their vans, to your friendly kebab maker and the french crepe maker. Heck, there were even stands selling bratwursts Bavarian sausages as well as second hand items. I'm telling you, you can find almost everything there. Plants, veges, clothes, scarves, paintings as well dog clothes. There were lots of tourist hovering about with their mega camera's,probing them into anything that seemed foreign and unfamiliar. And yes they were probably Japanese.funny how the Japanese made a name for themselves that way.

So anyway, my brother has a stand there selling gourmet New Zealand meats and so we visited his stand. Mum bought two racks of lamb from them. We also went to visit a family friend, who happened to have a stand selling her textured art works.

Whilst looking about, a stand packed full of women caught my eyes. The stand sold all sorts of eclectic decorative items including chandeliers. The black crystal chandelier stood out and its the one I have been dying to get. I knew it would be perfect for the decor of my new room and so I bought it. So incredibly happy! Mum and Dad also bought food covers from an overprized" Bali specialist" stand. Like jeez we know how much it really cost alright? But I guess my parents didn't really mind, we really needed to shield our food from the annoying flies. Good weather comes with a price over here I guess, warm weather spells flies and sandflies.
